This is an excellent package of books+reader. My kids just love the books. We are not English speakers and I bought the books to teach my kiddoes English little by little. We read together and they use the me-reader when I'm not home. The stories are simple, short and easy to read. I would recommend this gift as for preschool ESL students or just small kids who love Disney world.
My daughter loves these. They are teaching her how to read and enjoy books on her own. She just turned 4 and we've had these for about 6 months now. My son is 2.5 and he is not quite into using this yet.
The kids love being able to "read" the stories themselves. They are big fans of everything Disney; already owning a reader that features the Disney princesses. The stories are not too long; just the right time for a bed time stories. Would recommend!
My little girl loves this book set! She is 4 and this was a Christmas gift. She read them all that day, then again the next! I had to walk her through how it works, then after that she was off on her own. I did find that it's quite easy to skip a page by mistake as they stick together at first, but it's easy to realize you've missed one of the buttons.
We were excited about an audible reading device that could bring Disney stories to life for our toddler. Unfortunately, the product was quite disappointing for the price tag. Most of the stories are incredibly dull and drab while at the same time very short. There are some pleasant sound effects for each book, like underwater bubbles for Finding Dory, but nothing from the actual film. It would have been nice to have the actual characters speak from the films and possibly some of the theme music as well. Also, the buttons on the device are hard for our son to push. It's actually hard for us to push as well. The reader feels a little cheap and plasticky, especially for a Disney product. Our son does use it occasionally but we're afraid he will grow out of it soon.
I love the idea of this product. My 3 year old figured it out quickly. The quality of the actual books is poor, though. My one and a half year old has ripped several books apart already. They are not durable at all
My daughter received a set of me-reader books when she was two, and she loved them. We got her this set and had to get her a little backpack because she loves to take them in the car with her wherever we go!
The 4-year-old I gave it to loves it and uses it to read all eight books to herself over and over again. (Really a gift for her parents!).I've marked it down a star as the pages feel cheap and easy to tear.
